Camping is one of the most refreshing and exhilarating ways to experience nature. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or a first-time camper, spending time in the wilderness offers a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with the natural world. From the peaceful rustling of leaves to the breathtaking views of a starlit sky, camping provides countless moments of joy and tranquility.

I’m a single mom with two kids, and our journey into camping and scouting began unexpectedly. My oldest child, a boy, was in first grade when he came home with a flyer about joining the scouts. The look on his face was full of hope, but when I told him we couldn’t do it because of time constraints, he was devastated. Determined to make a change, I signed him up when he asked again in second grade. That was seven years ago, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

In this blog, I’ll be sharing our adventures and experiences. From campsite recommendations to mommy hacks for time management, product reviews, and tips on getting the best out of the scouting lifestyle, this blog aims to be a helpful resource for other parents, especially single mothers. Most importantly, it’s an encouraging look into my journey as a mom, managing to make these experiences possible for my children.

Camping and scouting have been transformative experiences for my family, offering countless opportunities for adventure, learning, and bonding. Through this blog, I hope to inspire and support other parents in making these experiences possible for their children. Join us on our journey into the great outdoors, and discover the joys and challenges of camping and scouting through the eyes of a single mom.
